Officer Michael Schultheis
Biography
Michael Schultheis’ artistic ability was first recognized in high school, where he won second place in the State of Texas in the PTA Art Reflections Contest. Although he was granted a small scholarship for Art, Michael chose an engineering career instead, spending the next ten years working on robotics.
In his late twenties, Michael decided to make a difference in the world, and joined the Austin Police Department. As Michael began to work in the Police Department, his inspiration for art returned as a form of release and he challenges himself to create with his extra time. Working in different mediums, Michael continues to sculpt, paint, and take photos of items that truly inspire him.
