Robert Hurst

Biography
Robert Hurst is one of the top sports artists in the country. Painting with acrylics, he is able to create a feeling of dynamic movement using gestural sweeps of vibrant color to capture the charismatic essence of the people he commits to canvas. His art education began while studying medical illustration at both Stephen F. Austin University and North Harris County College in Texas (1978-1982). In 1983, he studied painting at The Art Institute of Houston. Widely sought after by both corporations and private individuals, Hurst's work is included in the notable collections of Muhammad Ali, Earl Campbell, Reggie Jackson, Michael Johnson, Jim Palmer, the Babe Ruth Museum in Baltimore, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, The Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo and Tri-Star Productions, among others.
